Botswana printer inks deal with manroland Goss

Following a large order of spare parts, the Southern African printing specialist, Printing & Publishing Company Botswana (PPCB), opted for a long-term service contract with manroland Goss. Regular and preventive maintenance will significantly reduce the risk of future downtimes. Adding to that, a special volume for spare parts orders for each contract year is included within the Service Level Agreement. The reliability and expertise for manroland and Goss presses are industry leading and available in all parts of the world.

PPCB ordered parts proactively, to ensure critical and mechanical spare parts are on site. Service solutions for presses from manroland Goss allow customers to concentrate fully on their core business. manroland Goss service contracts ensure a long life for the printing presses and contribute to a more sustainable printing industry through increased efficiency.

PPCB secures its print production with manroland Goss with foresight: thanks to a comprehensive spare parts package consisting of central electrical and mechanical components, the right spare parts are immediately available on site in the event of an emergency. With the signing of a service contract, the South African printing specialist takes the next step to ensure reliable operation by reducing the risks of future downtime.

Brad Pullen, general manager at PPCB, is positive after signing the contract: “With the service contract, we ensure that we will continue to have reliable production with our older Goss Community press in the future. Based on our experience, manroland Goss is the right partner for us. We were convinced by the quality of the parts and the implementation of previous repair work.”

Printing & Publishing Company Botswana is the largest printing company in the Botswanans Region. The Goss press line consists of two splicers, two printing towers and a folder. Commenting on the contract signing, Markus Schmidt, manroland Goss service manager for the African Regions says: “We are delighted to be able to support one of the largest printing plants on the Southern African continent and ensuring the reliable production of a Goss press line. In addition, it shows that our service offerings are attractive to many customers, because this allows full focus on the core business, while the Augsburg based company in combination with the market organization in South Africa takes care of the press. manroland Goss offers service contracts, spare parts, and upgrades for reliable operation of older presses – an approach with which the Augsburg-based printing press company contributes to sustainability and efficiency and keeps investments comparatively low. The global structure of manroland Goss’ market organizations ensures that experts are readily available – in the case of PPCB, manroland UK and manroland Southern Africa will take over the technician assignments. This keeps waiting times to a minimum and problems can be eliminated quickly
