A series of webinars during Madras Week

Madras Week programmes were conducted virtually on Zoom during August 2020. Nivedita Louis and Monali Bala, Chithra Madhavan and Ramesh Raja brought various facets of Chennai alive during their presentations during Madras week organised by the Press Institute of India. Nivedita Louis and Monali Bala’s lec-dem was titled Gujili: A Century of History – a genre of music and literature that belonged to the common man. Chithra Madhavan made a presentation on Temples of Chennai. And Ramesh Raja brought Madras alive through some stunning pictures he had captured over the years. Attendance was good throughout, with more than 130 tuning in for the programme on temples.
