Twenty-two journalists and three from academia participated in a two-day seminar on India’s National Security Interests and Objectives conducted by the Press Institute of India, Chennai, and the Institute of Contemporary Studies Bangalore, a multi-expertise think-tank specalising in national security and foreign policy affairs, at Christ University, Bangalore. Manoj Joshi, National Affairs editor, Mail Today and a well-known security analyst and political commentator, set the tone for the workshop with his keynote address focused on journalist reportage on national security affairs.
Later in the day, Siddharth Varadarajan (seen in picture addressing the audience), then editor of The Hindu, spoke about India’s security environment, threats and challenges.
