PII-RIND conducted on June 8 and 9 two virtual sessions focused on ‘optimising techniques in newspaper production’. The programme started with V.S. Narayanan, GM – Technical, Dinamalar, making a comprehensive presentation on how to optimise newspaper print production. Ravi Kant Verma, Sr GM-Technical Services (Offset), Sakata Inx India, then spoke about the developments and changes in news ink industry.
On Day 2, Julian Felix, Plant Head, The Times of India, conducted an interactive session on newsprint optimisation in newspaper production. V. Tamilarasu, Senior Manager, The Hindu Group, followed this up with another interactive session on optimising raw material usage in print production.
Production executives and engineers from ABP, Cadgraf, Dinamalar, Malayala Manorama and The Hindu participated. Sashi Nair, Director, PII-RIND, was present. Prabhu Natrajan, Research Engineer, WAN-IFRA South Asia, helped put together the programme.
